"This was made in the Alabama Hills in Lone Pine, California. The rock formation, with the Sierra Nevada behind it, is called the Gene Autry Rock. The rock has appeared in many Western films, including Hopalong Cassidy's "False Colors.""
"I used a Zero Image 4x5 with a reducing back to make this photograph on Fuji FP-3000B. The exposure was just shy of 1 second at f180 1/2. A neutral density filter was used in front of the pinhole, and a red filter was taped behind the pinhole."
