"I am giving a talk on close-up photography at my local camera club on May 25 and I wanted to demonstrate that given a small enough f stop it was possible to focus to a magnification of 6 times life-size, although this did require very long extension and super high ISO and high powered flash."


camera"The image of the coin was caught on a Nikon Df camera exposing at six Ev stops above 12,800 ISO which I believe is about 1 million ISO. The pinhole is in a plastic cap and is about 1/2 mm in diameter so the f stop is f 1,344. I had to line up with a normal lens and then put on the pinhole."
