"This is a closeup of a Southern Toad (A. terrestris) that I found outside; I decided to call him Steve. My aim wasn't very good, it has to be said, but then I was shooting this at night through a pinhole-equipped SLR and had to do a lot of guessing."


"Brass sheet with mechanically drilled pinhole mounted to body cap, installed on a Canon 550D (Digital Rebel T2i) with a focal length of approximately 50mm. Hand-held with flash, exposure of 1/13s at ISO 1600. Processed in Canon Digital Photo Professional and Adobe Photoshop Elements 8."
