"This photo is about the idea that as we get older, we rely on archived data from previously processed experiences so that we don't have to reprocess each experience anew. But that can leave us blind to our environment. This is a reminder to myself to be alert to new possibilities."


camera"Thrift store cookie tin - accommodates one sheet of 8X10 film (or paper) on a curved plane. Aperture is a laser-drilled 0.3mm hole = an aperture of approximately f500. I just strap it to a tripod with tape. For this photo I used Ilford Delta 100 exposed at 80 ASA, which required a 29 minute exposure"
