"Photo of the 1872 grain mill at historic Walnford County Park in Upper Freehold, Monmouth County, New Jersey. Yes, this working mill is painted a vivid blue color, as it was when originally built. Since a pinhole allows a near infinite depth of field, I chose to exploit this in my image."
"This HDR photo was taken with a Canon Rebel t2i digital SLR camera and a homemade 0.26mm silver pinhole mounted to a Canon body cap giving an effective "focal length" of 48mm. The camera was mounted on a tripod at ~6" from the ground. A cable release was used. PhotoMatix Pro 5.1.3 software was used to combine three images taken at 1.3, 1.6 and 2 seconds each at 100 ISO. The resulting HDR image was then edited in PhotoShop. For the pinhole diameter, I used the figure 6.1A table in Eric Renner's book on Pinhole Photography, 4th Edition. The tapered portion of a #13 beading needle formed the pinhole, sanding with 1000 grit abrasive paper on both sides."
