"I had done some shots of trees like this before by shooting straight up through the leaves hanging off, and I wanted to use the images to make an abstract form."


camera"My camera was a cheerios cereal box, taped up, with square cuts of a pie tin as the hole. I cut down my paper to roughly 4" by 6" and taped it to the inside. I used black photographers tape to cover up the hole. The exposure times weren't very long due to the fact that I was shooting straight up."
