
"As it was a very windy day, I opted to work indoors where this still life opportunity presented itself. I have a room in the house with a west window, which often compels me to make a photo. I liken this process to Kertesz's late Polaroid works: working within confined conditions, with limitations."
"I made a "preview pinhole" by drilling a 2mm hole in a brass shim, and with that on the camera I could see to compose an image. I also dodged the light with a piece of translucent plexi to adjust the quality of light falling on the vase/table. Camera: Intrepid 8X10 Film: Ilford HP5 processed in Xtol"
