Beowulf Mayfield, "Viking Fleet"
United Kingdom
pinhole photograph

"A multiple exposure of a metal viking ship bought on a visit to Iceland lit by two LED torches. I moved the ship between each four-minute exposure to create the impression on an approaching fleet."

"The camera is a wooden pinhole camera made by Polish craftsman Cezary Bartczak. It takes 120 film and produces eight exposures per film. The exposure time was four minutes for each exposure, making about 20 minutes in total. The film was Kodak Ektar colour commercially processed and scanned."
