"Heavy overcast, wind, and rain made shooting outside on WPPD 2020 unlikely. On a whim, I headed to my workshop after lunch to build a new 5x7 camera instead. I finished it before dark, and this is its first image, shot in our back yard using Harmon Direct Positive paper, and a plastic rain shield."


camera"I built my new 5x7camera on WPPD. It features a 160mm focal length and f300 pinhole mounted behind an old press shutter. The first image was made using Harmon Direct Positive paper with a slight pre-fog. I extended the calculated 40-minute exposure to 1 hour (from 6-7pm) and could have gone longer."
