"The Historic Express Office in Columbia, CA. My family lived in Columbia and nearby in Knights Ferry in the 1850's. I return there often to photograph the town and imagine what it must have been like to live there during the Gold Rush."
"My camera was made by my friend, Gary Canaparo, an artist and photographer from Sunol, CA, who passed away in 2014. Every year I travel to the Sierra Nevada foothills to participate in the Pinhole Day and commemorate my friendship with Gary."
