Terry Smallbone, "The Garrison clock bell tower"
Southend-on-Sea, Southend-on-Sea, United Kingdom
pinhole photograph

"A local place that I return to regularly. Previously an Army accommodation area. I've taken 'normal' pictures in the area before, but this is the first time I have taken a pinhole picture there. Taken on a Pentax MZ5N 35 mm camera, loaded with Ilford FP4+ film, with a pin pricked foil lens."

"I used a tripod mounted Pentax MZ5N, with a pin pricked tin foil lens in the lens aperture, held in place by the on camera flash. Ilford FP4+ was used and processed in home-mixed D76/ID11. The image was printed on Ilford MGV RC Satin paper. Camera was on auto, which gave about a 5 second exposure."
