Peter Schu, "Watching the wind"
Göttingen, Lower Saxony, Germany
pinhole photograph

"The day started cloudy and windy and so I took the first photos from the living room looking at flowers blown by the wind. The orchids are protected, but the flowers in front of the window are blown by the wind, but they manage to stand upright. The long exposure time makes this visible."

"I used my Subjektiv 'lens' with its pinhole: 60 mm, aperture 128. I used a Sekonic light meter and my mechanical Contax S2 and Agfa CT100 slide film. The image was scanned and an almost square frame was cut out. This works better for this motive than the 3:2 proportion of the 135 mm frame."
