"I drilled a 2mm hole into the bottom of a large olive can and placed it with a sheet of document cover onto the scanner unit's glass plate of an old Brother multifunction printer. After the scanner calibrated its position, I isolated the 4 LED contacts with tape and scanned. Image is cropped."
