Louise Tunnard, "STILL LIFE - MOTHER-IN-LAW'S TONGUE"
Salisbury, Wiltshire, United Kingdom
pinhole photograph

"This is a still life pinhole image of one of my house plants - a Sansevieria. It is something that I look at every day and I am fascinated by its structure and formation, which then translates into a pinhole image, but is still instantly recognisable."

"I used a homemade pinhole camera - made from a shoe box, with a pinhole punched out of a piece of drinks can. I used 10" x 8" photographic paper to produce a paper negative. The exposure was equivalent to f8 1/15th of a second, which translated into an exposure time of 1 minute 8 seconds."
