Nicolas Leclaire, "The old Jewish cemetery"
Zurich, Zurich, Switzerland
pinhole photograph

"There is a small Jewish cemetery close to where I live. It has only seen a few 200 burials between 1900 and 1936 and has been closed since then. Hidden between century old chestnut trees, in the midst of the city, it is a very peaceful place to contemplate."

"I use an old tea tin (9x9x5.5cm) and a hole pierced by hand in a piece of beer can. I use Harman Positive paper, which I develop in my bath tub. Exposure time around 20min."
