"This is the imposing Binns department store which has served the town's people for a hundred years. It was here, when I had a Saturday job in the Electrical department, that I watched the England football team win the World Cup in 1966! I like the curves of the granite steps."
"The picture was taken, using Fomapan 100, with my 6x6 monobloc pinhole camera made by my friend James Lycett. The exposure was of two minutes' duration. The film was processed in Kodak HC110 using the semi-stand process. A contact sheet was made, and the chosen print was scanned."
