
"The image was taken at an old Army fort that once defended the entrance to the Columbia River between Oregon and Washington states. The dungeon-like conditions required me to leave my camera behind, doing its job, while I continued to peruse the fort with my pinhole group."
"Pintoids are pinhole cameras made from Altoids tins. I used a strip of expired (1986) Tri-x 35mm film. My exposure was long. Very long. When I went back to retrieve my camera, it had fallen over. All I could do was hope it had exposed long enough. It did!"
