"At the centre of the photograph is a paper clip attached to a piece of paper. This piece of paper is behind a full glass of water in the kitchen. A kettle and a bottle can be seen in the background. I received the paper clip yesterday at a giveaway vernissage. It was attached to a large print I had chosen, together with a note with an artist's name. An artist friend had given away works from his parents' estate (his mother had run a gallery). About fifty art lovers turned up at this vernissage. They all went home richly endowed and happy. The photo is a test image to familiarise myself with this new camera."
